After an exceptionally long, cold winter, the wilderness is ready to explode in new life!!! Wildflowers are pinpoints of color against a dozen shades of green as ferns, mosses and trees greet the warmth of Spring!  Pristine brooks rush down the mountains in cascades and into the valley in tranquil pools, full of hungry trout! Birds return and fill the trees with song in a serene forest that soothes your soul as you contemplate new buds on trees greeting their 300th Spring!

Destination Backcountry is Proud to Support Zara Aina!

Destination Backcountry is proud to support Zara Aina, a US based non-profit working in Madagascar.  A group of theater artists founded Zara Aina to mentor impoverished youth, drawing on the rich performing tradition of the indigenous people.  In addition to their time, the group will be donating supplies and care packages to children as they travel the country this May.
