Independence from Trails (7/3-5)
We love three day weekends; the crowds, not so much. So we’ve put together this three day trip that should keep us far from the conga lines to the popular summits and crowded popular camping spots on trail. We’ll be off-trail for most of the trip, setting up a basecamp in a valley deep in the wilderness for both nights. This will allow us to explore unencumbered by our overnight gear, bushwhacking to nearby peaks or closer to camp along the river.
Cardio Intensity: Challenging.
Terrain: Primarily off-trail. Optional day hike will be steep, with scrambling sections that may require using hands for balance.
All adventures include:
- Transportation option: includes transportation from/to New York City with convenient pickup locations near the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Grand Central in Manhattan and breakfast of fresh fruit and donuts and a selection of coffees and teas
- Group gear and shelter: we’ll handle cooking, safety gear, water treatment and shelter on our adventure so you may pack and travel light
- Lunch, dinner, and snacks on our adventure
- Note: we offer vegetarian and vegan options and we’re happy to accommodate any dietary and allergy needs
