Devil's Bushwhack (10/8-10)

Sale price Price $ 450.00 Regular price

The area that is now the western half of the Devil’s Path, plus the neighboring trailless peaks, straddle one of only three north/south routes through the Catskills. Native Americans and early Europeans hunted and harvested in these areas. On this adventure, we’ll travel in their footsteps up an old abandoned trail used for black bear hunting in centuries past. Rich with history and the incredible scenery that makes the Catskills famous, this is also an excellent trip to see the wilderness in peak foliage season well away from the crowds.

Cardio Intensity: Very challenging.

Terrain: Primarily off-trail. Steep, with scrambling sections that may require using hands for balance. Dense forest near the summits. Significant elevation gain.
