Blackhead Range Traverse: Steep and Majestic (5/1)
Hike this incredible range in the Northeastern Catskills and explore some of the wildest landscapes in the Catskills. These peaks, forests, and views inspired America’s first art movement, the Hudson River School of Painters. In early spring, the peaks will be bursting with a profusion of wildflowers. From the summits, we’ll enjoy sweeping views over the Catskills and the Hudson Valley.
Cardio Intensity: Challenging.
Terrain: On trail. Steep, with some scrambling sections that require using hands for balance.
Great for: Spring wildflowers, legendary scrambles
Bonus: Two viewpoints!
