Racquette River - Adirondack Canoe Camping (7/27-30)
Spend four days and three nights on the 2nd longest river in New York. With the majestic High Peaks as a backdrop, we’ll be paddling a gorgeous slow-moving stretch of river that meanders into coves, marshes, and small ponds. We’ll explore the labyrinth of Stony Creek and paddle up Ampersand Brook as far as we can for a complete Adirondack experience.
There are no rapids or stretches of fast water, so there are ample opportunities for swimming, fishing, or just drifting slowly downstream. With plenty of shelters along our route and no portages at all, we’ll be camping in luxury on this canoe camping overnight.
No canoe experience necessary.
Most trips will depart at 6:30am near the Barclays Center and 7:00am near Grand Central. You will be notified in advance if departure times and locations differ for your trip.
