Grief on the Move (9/7) A Healing Hike with Bilen

Embark on a serene and gentle hike tailored for those navigating the delicate journey of grief, guided by Bilen Berhanu, licensed NYS hiking guide, grief worker, and GwG-certified End-of-Life Doula. This hike is designed with thoughtful consideration for individuals experiencing loss of any kind, providing a safe space for healing in community.

Grief is a natural and normal response to the severing of attachment, which we are hardwired to rely on for our survival as a social species. This rupture can profoundly impact you and requires space and support to digest and metabolize it. Grief often asks to be acknowledged and tended to through moving the body.

This hike offers a soothing opportunity where each step is a moment of reflection, inviting contemplation and offering a sanctuary for emotions to unfurl. We will invite you to sit and share your grief stories if you wish. Here, amidst the embrace of community and nature, grief finds expression, and healing begins to take root. Together, we honor the complexities of loss and embrace the inherent beauty of the human experience, finding solace and strength in the embrace of the outdoors together.
