Halcott & Sleeping Lion - Brews & Views (6/26)

Halcott (pronounced "Hawk-It" by locals) is home to amazing archaeological evidence of the Lenni Lenape, Tuskaroosa, Delaware, and Mahican tribes who took advantage of abundant game and fish in the area. We'll use a lesser known route up this trail-less peak for a less steep but still vigorous climb. On our way up, we'll visit the satellite peak of Sleeping Lion, home to awesome berry patches, before continuing on to Halcott. After our hike down, we'll visit the renowned Westkill Brewery for post-hike brews and food truck snacks.

Cardio Intensity: Challenging.
Terrain: Off-trail. Steep, with a couple scrambling sections that require using hands for balance.
