Brews & Views Basecamp (7/29-30)
Experience the best of Catskills backpacking followed by a visit to a beloved local brewery. For this basecamp overnight, we'll hike a reasonable distance to make camp, then summit a Catskill 3500' peak without our heavy overnight gear.
Our hike will take us through gorgeous mixed hardwood forests, followed by the classic Catskill spruce-fir forest, to finally reach great views at the summit. We'll spend a chill night in camp soaking in the nature vibes, chilling around the campfire, and eating a gourmet camp dinner.
Post hike, we'll head over to the renowned Westkill Brewery for post hike brews and food truck snacks.
Cardio Intensity: Moderate
Terrain: On trail, a couple of scrambling sections that require using hands for balance.
