Join us for a guided fishing adventure on one of the legendary trout streams of the Catskills
This hands-on experience begins with an introduction to fish behavior, casting technique, and essential fishing knots before heading to the water to put those skills into practice.
Your guide will walk the streamside with you throughout the day, offering instruction, helping untangle lines, pointing out promising fishing spots, and sharing insights about the local ecosystem. Beginners are absolutely welcome, no prior experience is necessary.
We’ll also cover the fundamentals of reading the water to predict where trout are likely to be holding and how to present a cast effectively in moving water.
If we’re lucky enough to land a legal-sized fish, we may have the option to responsibly harvest and cook it streamside over a fire with lemon and herbs, an unforgettable taste of the Catskills.
All fishing gear is provided. Participants only need to purchase a valid New York State fishing license (available from the DEC for as little as $5 for a one-day pass).
Unlike our scheduled group adventures, this experience is private and customizable. After choosing a date, we’ll work with you to fine-tune the details of the day, including start time, destination, and menu. Optional round-trip transportation from NYC can also be arranged.
