A Fearless Group Conquers a Frozen Blackhead Mountain
Last Saturday, our courageous crew climbed Blackhead Mountain on one of the coldest days in recent memory!!
This imposing, rugged & steep peak is notorious in the Catskills for big winds & big views and we got them both. Visibility was easily 25 miles, as the Berkshires stood out clearly.
But with windchills around -30 when the winds gusting (a balmy -10 otherwise,) we didn’t linger too long at the summit.
Enjoy the pics! Our best few are here and you may find the album at this link.
