Winterfalls!
Well, we still haven't seen any snow of note upstate, but that hasn't stopped us from getting some winter adventure on!
Last weekend, we headed up to the land of waterfalls, Minnewaska State Park, where the recent rains (yes, rains) have combined with nighttime temps below freezing to create some spectacular formations!
We had a beautiful and sunny day to visit both Shaft 2A Falls (above) and Awosting Falls!
In fact, the weather was so pleasant, that we were able to linger over our delicious lunch--a nice change of pace from the usual winter drill of "eat quick and keep moving!"
With the sun shining, we collectively decided to make some Vitamin D, so we took a stroll...
Up to a gorgeous viewpoint, where we sat in the sun!
Although it's been a weird winter for us, it's been even stranger for the animals, as we saw evidence of all types of activity!
We'll be headed back to these awesome falls on March 13th---we hope you can join us for smiles like these!
