Colgate Lake Canoe & Kayak (5/20)
A local favorite, Colgate Lake is a perfect paddling trip for beginners. This gentle day on a calm lake involves no portaging (carrying the canoe) and is an easy walk from the parking lot to the canoe launch. In the right conditions, we will paddle a short distance upstream into a secluded forest. This lake is also well known for brown trout, so fishing instruction is an option, no gear required. Our guides will offer paddling and fishing instruction for everyone who is interested.
No previous canoe or kayak experience necessary!
Most trips will depart at 6:30am near the Barclays Center and 7:00am near Grand Central. You will be notified in advance if departure times and locations differ for your trip.
