Mother's Day Family Hike (5/12)

Welcoming all parents, children, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family members to share a family friendly hike with Destination Backcountry!

This hike brings together families looking to connect with other parents, each other, and nature, in a welcoming space.

A truly kindred experience, this trip will be led by our co-owners, Dave + Jessica, with their 2.5 year old and 10-month old. We will follow a gentle route with ample opportunities to stop and rest for people of all ages, to nurse our babies, and to just enjoy each other’s company. Surrounded by gorgeous scenery in a NYS wilderness area, we can also enjoy learning from each other and sharing experiences.

For parents with children in car seats, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early at the pickup location with your own car seat and the ability to attach the car seat to the van. We recommend bringing a structured baby/toddler carrier for younger hikers (for example, from Tula or Ergobaby) instead of a sling carrier. It will not be possible to bring strollers in the van or on trail. Please feel free to reach out directly with any questions. We’re happy to help! Email info@destinationbackcountryadventures.com.
